Goalkeeper Training

We at Kikoff are aware that perfect practice makes perfect. That’s why we have taken the time to assemble a team of not only FFA Accredited coaches with over a decade of coaching experience worldwide, but also a team that are qualified in psychology, sports performance, physical education and sports management. Our team is available six days a week to develop players in the four components of football performance; technical, physical, tactical and psychological. Players will discuss with their coach verbal, visual and written feedback on a regular basis to ensure they are continuously improving. Sessions are flexible around your current schedule and each player will be coached with his or her individual goals, strengths and weaknesses in mind.

What… Being a goalkeeper is a very unique role, which requires specific training and dedication. The position is ever evolving, as is the training. Almost as an individual sport within a team game, a different mindset as well as physical attributes are needed. We realise the demands on this, and want to ensure our keepers are developing as well as our outfield players.   Who … Our goalkeeper training is open to anyone who has a desire to learn. Whether you are a beginner with little experience or are playing at a high level, we will put together a program that will see you take steps in the right direction. All we require from you is hard work, dedication and, as mentioned above, a desire to learn.   Why … The old saying “practice makes perfect” is very relevant to goalkeeping. If you strive to be better, an extra nights training is certain to put some distance between yourself and those around you. Having played football at a professional level, I know what is required to reach your target and will help you get there. The small group environment will allow us to zone in on each goalkeeper, work out their strengths and weaknesses and pinpoint what needs to be worked on and in what order. Be it tidying up your handling or getting your feet to move faster, we will put something in place that will improve all aspects of your all round game.   How… Everyone is different. I will look to break down and modify the parts of your game which need improving and put them back together in a way that will make you a better goalkeeper. After an initial “trial” session, I will put together some information on the parts of your game which need work and show you how we will make
