· 5 min read · KIKOFF Football

Friday night kids soccer at Curl Curl is on now. Friday Night U7 - 5pm is a mixed 5-a-side competition at KIKOFF Northern Beaches, Bennet Street, Curl Curl. It started on Friday 11 September 2026 and finishes on Friday 18 December 2026. Entry is $200 per child, and you register your child as an individual. You do not need to find a team first. Registration is open, so you can still join the season.
Friday night kids soccer at Curl Curl: what it is
Friday Night U7 - 5pm is a social kids competition for under-7s. It is mixed, so boys and girls play together. It is played 5-a-side, which means small groups and plenty of touches on the ball.
It suits kids who are new to the game, kids who loved winter football and want more, and kids who simply like running around with friends. The focus is fun first, in an organised setting.
How it fits with MiniRoos and winter football
Winter club football, including MiniRoos, runs from April to August. From September, many kids move to midweek small-sided football through summer. Friday Night U7 is one way to do that.
It sits alongside club football, not against it. Clubs restart in April, and your child can return to their club then with a few more months of ball time behind them.
Why a Friday 5pm slot works for families
A 5pm start means school is done for the week and the weekend has not begun. For many parents it is a simple end to the week: head to the venue, watch the game, then go home. Your child does not need to be part of a weekend roster to take part.

Friday night football near Harbord: the venue
KIKOFF Northern Beaches is on Bennet Street, Curl Curl. It has 4 caged 5-a-side pitches with futsal line markings. The surface is floodlit synthetic, so evening games run under lights.
The pitches are caged with futsal line markings, so kids can play soccer or futsal. The cage keeps the ball in play, which means fewer stoppages and more action for small players. You can see more on the KIKOFF Northern Beaches venue page. The venue is open year-round.

Individual, not team
This competition takes individual registrations. You sign up your child and we place them in a group. You do not need to organise a team or find other parents to commit.
What to bring
- Shin pads, if your child has them
- Football boots or sports shoes suited to synthetic turf
- A water bottle
- Weather-appropriate clothes for the walk in and out
For a fuller list, see our what to bring guide.
On the night
Arrive a little before 5pm so your child can settle in and find their group. Games are played inside the cage on the synthetic pitch. Stay and watch, cheer, and keep the sideline friendly.
Active Kids vouchers
If you are in NSW, you may be able to use an Active Kids voucher. Read how it works in our guide, Active Kids Voucher Soccer in Sydney: How It Works, and check the details when you register.
