Girls playing 5-a-side soccer on a floodlit caged pitch at Curl Curl in the evening

Girls soccer Northern Beaches: NBFA leagues at Curl Curl

If you are after girls soccer Northern Beaches has a proper summer option at Curl Curl. NBFA, our competition partner, runs girls-only 5-a-side leagues at KIKOFF Northern Beaches from Monday 7 September 2026 through to Sunday 20 December 2026. Games are individual entry at $210, so your daughter can sign up on her own and be placed into a team. There are three age groups running across Tuesday and Wednesday nights, all on our floodlit, caged pitches with futsal line markings at Bennet Street, Curl Curl.

What is the NBFA girls league

This is a girls 5-a-side Curl Curl competition built for players who want a fun, competitive summer season outside of winter club football. It sits alongside your daughter's regular club season rather than replacing it. Games are social, well organised, and played on small pitches, so every player gets more touches of the ball.

Girls summer soccer Northern Beaches age groups

There are three girls-only divisions on offer this summer:

  • Tuesday U8/9 Girls — individual entry $210, Monday 7 September 2026 to Sunday 20 December 2026
  • Wednesday U11/12 Girls — individual entry $210, Monday 7 September 2026 to Sunday 20 December 2026
  • Wednesday U13/14 Girls — individual entry $210, Monday 7 September 2026 to Sunday 20 December 2026
  • Tuesday U15/16 Girls — individual entry $210, Monday 7 September 2026 to Sunday 20 December 2026

All four run with our partner NBFA on the caged 5-a-side pitches at KIKOFF Northern Beaches, which have futsal line markings. Players use these pitches for soccer or futsal, not open-pitch football.

How the NBFA girls league works

Registration is individual, not by team. Sign your daughter up on her own and NBFA places her into a squad for the season. There is no need to find teammates first. Bring shin pads, a water bottle and boots suited to synthetic turf. Games are midweek evenings, so most families come straight from school or work.

Mixed coaching also runs at Northern Beaches

Separate to the girls leagues, KIKOFF Northern Beaches also runs public Little Kickers coaching sessions for younger children. These are mixed sessions, not girls-only, and cover ages 2.5 to 5 years across Sunday and Wednesday timeslots. They are a good entry point for younger sisters or siblings not yet ready for 5-a-side league play.

Girls-only leagues also run at Canterbury

If Curl Curl nights do not suit your week, KIKOFF also runs girls-only summer leagues at Canterbury on Wednesdays. It is a separate venue and a separate booking, worth a look if you are weighing up locations across Sydney. See the Canterbury junior leagues page for details.

FAQs

What ages can play in the NBFA girls league at Curl Curl?

The girls-only divisions cover U8/9, U11/12, U13/14 and U15/16. Each age group plays on its own night, either Tuesday or Wednesday, from Monday 7 September 2026 to Sunday 20 December 2026 at KIKOFF Northern Beaches.

Does my daughter need a team to register?

No. Registration is individual entry at $210 per player. NBFA places registered players into teams for the season, so your daughter can sign up alone or with a friend.

Is the Curl Curl venue an open pitch?

No. KIKOFF Northern Beaches has four caged 5-a-side pitches with futsal line markings, floodlit and synthetic. Games are played as soccer or futsal on these caged pitches, not on open grass fields.

Is this the same as club football during winter?

No. This is a summer small-sided competition that runs alongside club football rather than replacing it. Winter 11-a-side club football typically runs April to August, and players move to formats like this from September through summer.

Are there girls programs for younger children too?

Younger siblings can join public Little Kickers coaching at Northern Beaches, which is mixed rather than girls-only, covering ages 2.5 to 5 years. It is a gentle introduction to the sport ahead of joining a 5-a-side league later on.

What should we bring on game night?

Shin pads, a filled water bottle and boots suited to synthetic turf. Games are midweek evenings on lit pitches, so plan to arrive with enough time to warm up before kick-off.
