Summer holiday soccer camp Sydney: what to expect
If you are hunting for a summer holiday soccer camp in Sydney, you are probably staring down the NSW summer break and wondering what to do with the kids. NSW school holidays run from Friday 18 December 2026 to Wednesday 27 January 2027. KIKOFF runs holiday camps for primary-aged kids at our venues, built around a simple morning format. At the time of writing, our December–January program for this summer was not yet listed, so this article covers how KIKOFF camps generally work and where to find live dates and prices when they open.
This is general guidance rather than a specific listing, because a Christmas holiday soccer camp for this exact window was not confirmed in our system yet.
What a KIKOFF holiday camp actually is
A holiday camp is a school-holiday program for kids, run across a morning block rather than a single class. Coaches lead small-sided games, skill stations and team activities on our floodlit synthetic pitches. It suits kids who already play club football and want to stay sharp over summer, and kids who are just after a fun, active morning with mates.
How KIKOFF runs camps at our venues
KIKOFF camps typically run as morning sessions, roughly 8:30am to 12:30pm, for kids from U6 through U11. Families can usually book a full week or single days, depending on what suits. Camps run on our regular caged 5-a-side pitches at KIKOFF Canterbury in Lakemba and at KIKOFF Northern Beaches in Curl Curl, where pitches are caged with futsal line markings so kids can play soccer or futsal. In summer, our Northern Beaches competitions run alongside our partner NBFA, who help deliver junior football across the site.
We ran a Spring Holiday Camps program at Northern Beaches from Monday 28 September 2026 to Friday 9 October 2026, for ages U6 to U11, priced at $225 per week or $75 per day. That gives you a sense of the shape a holiday camp normally takes: age range, per-week and per-day pricing, and a school-holiday date block. The summer program for December and January follows the same general format once it is confirmed and open for booking.
The bookable thing right now
Because a summer holiday soccer camp for December–January was not open for booking at the time of writing, the most reliable move is to check the camps page directly for live dates, ages and prices before you plan around it. If you would rather lock something in today, KIKOFF Canterbury runs junior leagues for boys and girls from U6 through U16 that continue through summer and into next year, finishing Wednesday 31 March 2027. These are a solid option if you want regular weekly football for your child while camp dates are being finalised.
Practical how-to: booking, kit and the day itself
Camps are usually booked per child rather than as a team, since kids are grouped by age on the day. Pack the basics: shin pads, boots or enclosed shoes, a full water bottle, sunscreen and a hat. Bring a labelled bag, since mornings are active and kids will want a jumper on and off. Drop-off and pick-up times will be confirmed with your booking once a camp is live.
