What to Bring to Soccer Camp: Parent Checklist

· 3 min read · KIKOFF Football

What to bring to soccer camp

If you are wondering what to bring to soccer camp, keep it simple. Your child needs boots or runners, shin pads, a water bottle, a hat, sunscreen and a snack. Everything should be named. This is the packing list for KIKOFF holiday camps at Northern Beaches, run at Bennet Street, Curl Curl, for kids aged U6 to U11. We supply the balls, bibs, cones and goals, so you only need to worry about what your child wears and carries. Camp week one is running now, and week two is still bookable by the day if you want to add a session.

KIKOFF holiday camps are small-sided football sessions for kids during the school holidays. They mix skills, games and a bit of friendly competition, run on our floodlit synthetic pitches at Curl Curl using futsal-style rules on line markings.

The packing list

  • Football boots or runners, whichever your child trains in
  • Shin pads
  • A water bottle, filled and named
  • A hat
  • Sunscreen, applied before drop-off
  • A snack for the break
  • A change of shirt if it is warm
  • Named everything — bags, bottles and hats all go missing at camp

What KIKOFF supplies

You do not need to bring a ball, bibs or cones. We provide all the equipment at Northern Beaches, along with the goals and coaching staff for the session. Your child just needs to turn up ready to play.

Booking spring holiday camps

Spring Holiday Camps 2026 run at KIKOFF Northern Beaches from Monday 28 September 2026 to Friday 9 October 2026, for ages U6 to U11. A full week costs $225, or you can book a single day for $75. Week two is still open for day bookings if you only need one or two sessions rather than the full fortnight.

Drop-off and pick-up

Arrive a few minutes early on the first day so your child can settle in before the session starts. Our full drop-off and pick-up steps, including where to park and who to speak to on arrival, are covered in our what to bring help article.

Wet weather and siblings

Camps run rain or shine on our synthetic pitches, so pack a light layer just in case. If you have more than one child attending, ask our team about a sibling discount when you book. Booking by the day means you can mix and match which sessions each child attends.

FAQs

What do kids need for football camp at KIKOFF?

Boots or runners, shin pads, a water bottle, a hat, sunscreen and a snack. Everything should be named, since bags and bottles are easy to mix up between kids. KIKOFF supplies the balls, bibs, cones and goals, so you do not need to bring any equipment.

Can I book just one day of camp?

Yes. Spring Holiday Camps 2026 can be booked as a full week for $225 or as a single day for $75. This makes it easy to fit camp around other holiday plans, including for week two of the spring program.

What happens if it rains on camp day?

Camp runs on our floodlit synthetic pitches at Northern Beaches, which handle wet weather well. Pack a light extra layer just in case, and dress your child for the forecast rather than assuming the session will be cancelled.

How does drop-off and pick-up work?

Arrive a few minutes before the session starts so your child can settle in with the coaches. Full step-by-step guidance on where to go and what to expect is in our help article linked in this post.

Is there a discount for siblings at camp?

Ask our team about a sibling discount when you book more than one child into the same camp. Booking by the day also means siblings can attend different sessions if that suits your week better.
